I was responsible for leading the design, development, and brand research for a startup label called Handed. The main idea behind the label was to create a line of fully sustainable menswear that would cater to the luxury market. I oversaw various aspects of the project, including sourcing, product development, visual direction, consumer research, and UX/UI design.

BRAND POSITIONING

To help the company's CEO understand our brand positioning, I conducted research on the competition in the men's luxury market. Specifically, I focused on sportswear and athleisure brands, as well as sustainable brands and their marketing strategies. Using the UN's 17 sustainability principles, we went through a value proposition process to identify our target customer.

In anticipation of an ecommerce launch, I prepared a mood board and style guide to accurately depict the appearance and vibe of a sustainable luxury brand. The focus was on creating a sophisticated and elevated look while still maintaining accessibility.
